Immigrate to PEI as a Worker
Critical Workers
If you’re currently working in PEI, you can apply for permanent residency through the Critical Worker stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). PEI’s Critical Worker program is employer-driven, enabling Island employers to fill intermediate-skilled positions that they cannot fill through the local job market.

Intermediate Experience Stream
In the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), you may apply for a nomination for permanent residency through the Intermediate Experience stream (formerly known as the NOC C Initiative). It provides Island employers with the opportunity to fill intermediate-skilled positions that are not readily available on the local job market through the PEI Intermediate Experience stream. 

International Graduates
Upon graduation from a publicly-funded PEI post-secondary institution, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residency through the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

Occupations in Demand
Occupations-in-Demand is an employer-driven program that helps Island employers fill specific positions they cannot fill on their own. This stream may be utilized for talent recruitment inside and outside of Canada.

PEI Express Entry
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) offers PEI Express Entry nominations for permanent residency.  By nominating through the PEI PNP, you will increase your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply from the federal government.

Skilled Workers in PEI
Applicants who are currently employed by an Island employer may apply for a nomination for permanent residency through the Skilled Worker stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). 

Skilled Workers Outside Canada
If the Prince Edward Island employer receives authorization from the Office of Immigration before issuing a job offer, the Skilled Worker Stream may be utilized to recruit talent outside of Canada. Upon approval, a work permit support letter would be provided to the applicant so that he or she may apply for a work permit.

Atlantic Immigration Program – Endorsement Application
The Atlantic Immigration Program is an employer-driven, federal immigration program designed to help fill permanent labour shortages and skill gaps in your business by supporting skilled foreign workers and international graduates for permanent residency. The program is a two-step process for employers: you must first become a designated employer and then submit an endorsement application for every foreign national you want to support through the program.
